I was able to replicate the issue - it looks like it's happening for Award search.
They started doing this when they were using widebody aircraft domestically during the pandemic (e.g. BOS-MIA), and you'll still see it when Flagship aircraft are operated on non-Flagship routes (e.g. check BOS-JFK). Routes with actual Flagship service are still noted as Flagship.
Except this was LAX-JFK, so it's a Flagship route.
