Anybody have experience with status recognition and upgrades at Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels - Barbados. To be honest googling/trip advisor has made me quite anxious about this booking, but Barbados has slim pickings compared with other tropical destinations. We are not an inclusive type of family, but to be honest there was nothing much else around for the amount of money/points I wanted to spend.
Refundable Cash rates were crazy @ $700USD per night for 2 adults & 1 child (booked 2 months before arrival, points rate are 70k per night / 280k for 5 nights.
Emails with the hotel say complimentary upgrades are based on availalbity or to guarantee
- Deluxe Ocean View Junior Suite $20 USD/night
- Ocean Front Junior Suite $40 USD/night
- Garden View One Bedroom Suite $123 USD/night
- Ocean View One Bedroom Suite $160 USD/night
There is a complimentary water taxi to take you to other elegant hotels, and you can dine at some of the other hotels too (as part of the all inclusive) which i think is a great bonus.
