At least the belt was working. .until.late last year you had to take the suitcases yourself down to a point at the far end of the hall ( you were walking beside the non operating belt)to put it on the belt yourself . So you were lifting the case up to 3 times
from trolley onto scale
from scale to trolley
From trolley to belt

Just a bit of effort esp with a heavy case.
Not a great fan of the layout either but i have another go next month ( thinking of vce or rome just looking at how to do the italy 24 hour antigen test with an edi lhr flight first
