For reference, I am buying a ticket (in cash) from LON to NYC, return (on BA)
Outbound would be economy, return premium economy (WTP).
I'd only be upgrading the return flight.

$3,379.80 (of which fare $2,650.00, i.e. charges are $729)
Difference in charges is 440 USD = 327.14 GBP
Does this sound about right? Correct procedure to estimate fees and taxes?
No, this isn't the right way of doing it.
You need a LHR-JFK-LHR cash booking in WT out, WT+ back. Total TFC £322.06.
Then you need a LHR-JFK-LHR cash booking in WT out, CW back. Total TFC £454.56.
The extra TFC if you UuA from WT+ to CW on the JFK-LHR sector only should therefore be £132.50.
