Marriott ditched Travel Packages with little to no advance warning. (and no formal announcement)
Once they start devaluing their points with dynamic pricing, mileage transfers will start looking better and better to members and get used more often. At which point Marriott will likely give no warning of a change to conversion rates as a cost-saving measure. It might not be imminent, but I wouldn't be sitting on hundreds of thousands of Marriott points much longer...
