I am due to fly on BA59 to Cape Town on the 27th January and am having to wait until 24 hours before my EDI-LHR to select my seat (as I chose not to pay for a seat as my trip has been cancelled 3 times already and don't have any status anymore)

I have been checking seat availability on expert flyer for the last few weeks and noticed this morning that there are now 8 seats showing as blocked. Previously the bassinet seats were blocked along with 11K and am curious why so many seats would now be blocked. Does anyone have any ideas? When do seats get blocked?
