Resurrecting a dead thread, but is it confirmed that doing this upfares to Z and thus allows for extra miles, etc etc. I did this last week for my mom and UA credited her in U which was the original booking so I want to send the BP and ticket info to them if its guaranteed that this definitely upfares from U to Z?
