Maybe I missed some Marriott annoucement, but why did you need to clean out your Bonvoy account instead of just leaving them parked until you needed to transfer them? Just because the award chart goes away doesn't mean the airline points transfer would be any different.
No nothing like that, the timing to drain my account was just good for me as I’ve been tracking some award availability that I’ll likely pull the trigger on soon and wanted the points in my NH account as their transfer times aren’t always the quickest.
