That was me. Yes, we were staying at the Moana and decided to extend our trip by a week. We booked through Amex FHR. We needed a break from restaurant food and the washer/dryer was great for rinsing dive gear!
Can't say enough about the service at the RC. Everything, and everyone, was first-rate. A dramatic contrast to the Moana. We got our FHR benefits - Noon checkin (the room was ready at 11 am when I dropped by to find out when we could arrive), full breakfast (which was a good thing, I don't think I could have brought myself to spend the $80+ each day - A pot of coffee is $24! ), $500 resort credit, and a 4 pm late checkout. Generally we were getting up quite early, having a light breakfast in the room, and then a 10:30 am big breakfast that served as our lunch. Their Loco Moco would have served us both as dinner!
Tassimo coffee makers in the room, in contrast to the sad little Mr. Coffees in the Moana. Friendly, attentive staff everywhere, especially around the pools. We ate at two of their restaurants, Quiora and La Vie. Both were excellent. MG is right, between about 2:00 and 5:00 pm the lanais were hot, hot.
Checkout was very relaxing. We had a midnight flight back to Toronto and they let us keep our room until 8 pm when we had a dinner reservation.
