My First Canopy Stay
Hard to believe this thread is as old as it is.
I ignored the brand for years as I wasn't sure what it was and the price point never seemed compelling.
It seems to be overpriced on revenue and reward redemption.
Was in Scottsdale and took a night there and was delighted.A guest on social media was complaining the bed was too soft
Once I saw the reviews were overwhelmingly positive I booked right away.
Thought the stay was great and the bed very good but that Canopy properties seem severely overpriced for what it is.
Otherwise its good modern architecture meets limited service
In my own opinion its the first lifestyle brand that has it mostly right in over a decade that many of the best brands have failed to accomplish
That said 500 dollars a night or 60,000 points there are many options out there.I stayed at the former Ritz Carlton in Phoenix
for 35,000 points or had the option of 200 dollars a night revenue.
In Philadelphia Canopy was asking 80k a night what 5 star properties are getting like the Waldorf Astoria Conrad etc
I booked the 4 star Hyatt with better gym and full breakfast for 12k in HH points that would be 24 to 30 k in points
Love the brand but they aren't competitive enough.Hope to stay with them more in 2022
