That was curious. It wasn't that cold outside (certainly above 0 degrees) or in the room and the aircon (that could heat) was working. But my room had this portable radiator and my sister's down the hall did not. The pub was a large expanse with a high ceiling and was cool so we asked if the heating could be turned up and they brought another of these electric radiators (which could never do much alone in such a large room). So they clearly have them ready.

I didn't feel the room needed it and indeed I turned it off.
