The lounge itself is closed "because it's too small" and I imagine this is permanent. But it's also a good thing because the executive lounge benefits are now delivered in the hotel's pub called The Pickled Hen and they're very good. Four of us spent the evening drinking the wine from 5.30-9.30pm. It was table service and they were very proactive with the top-ups. The food was a selection of canapés that were fine. Best thing about the benefit being in the pub was that we were able to order main courses from the regular menu later in the evening and we had cocktails after the wine finished after 9.30pm. Breakfast buffet is also in The Pickled Hen and it's good enough. Staff were friendly at reception and in The Pickled Hen and service throughout was good. Except a rather gruff security guard who growled at us around midnight that we'd already been told we only had five minutes. The bar was closed, staff gone, and we were just sitting on a sofa near the entrance by the lifts to the rooms at this point.

It's my second time at this hotel and we were very happy with the service and benefits. Here's some pictures:

The setup at the pub seems great.
Looks like a portable radiator heater in your room pic. Was that in the room when you arrived as the source of room heat? Never seen that before.
