Announced or not, seems to work pretty well, the only issue we have is you can't buy BS fare.
How are you ticketing this exactly? I am in the same situation. Do you first book you and your wife as a two ticket reservation then add the two companions separately? Have you ever tried re-faring down if the price dropped? I know you have to cancel companions to re-fare, but I am curious if you can still re-fare if you have more than one person on the ticket.
