Sorry to hear you lost out on your lounge visit OP, but glad you made the flight. Interested to know what it says 35 minutes before a flight for check-in, my understanding was it is 45 minutes for check in and 35 minutes to have scanned for security. But in any case, thankfully you made it.

My suggestion if you think it is worth it would be to just put in a claim for EC261/04, and see what the response is- hopefully they will have a record if they have sent an email to inform you of the cancellation, and would need to be able to demonstrate they have done so to defend any claim you bring.

Obviously usual rules of getting legal advice rather than relying on my opinion and it is for a sum of £209.06 each. I have received emails for the same flights (on different dates) so it may be somewhere in your inbox/spam/deleted (or the email given at booking if this wasn’t your account).

In case it helps- my flight cancelled on the day notification and the more advanced notifications came from [email protected].
