Good luck. I have had good and bad outcomes with Qatar and lost property.

The good: Once my partner left their medicine in the seat pocket on a flight inbound into Doha. We realised within a few mins of getting into the lounge, went to the lounge front desk and they said 'leave it with us, go and enjoy yourselves in the lounge" and about 30mins later a member of staff came and found us in the lounge with a smile and the medication.

The bad: when they know they have your property but fail to reunite you with it... This sorry tale from QR193 involving a new A350, a broken cupboard door, a coat and a few inconvenienced passengers.

It seems to me that when an individual or close knit operational team are empowered to do something from start to end you get good outcomes. But any interdependency for others to do something to achieve an end result can frequently struggle for a good outcome.
