None of this activity has an accompanying e-mail notification.

With the lack of an e-mail notification, is there a way to find out *when* the flight was cancelled?
A quick search suggests that there is now no BA1388 until Sunday 30 October 2022. This is the first day of the northern winter 2022/23 scheduling season. So if you were booked on BA1388, this suggests that in northern winter 2021/22, the entire season's BA1388s (or remaining BA1388s) could have been cancelled en masse at some stage.

Similarly, a sample of most Fridays in the remainder of the northern winter 2021/22 scheduling season shows that BA1402 is scheduled at 1825 on Fridays for the rest of the season. So if tonight's BA1402 was brought forward from 1855 to 1825, this could have been done en masse at some stage.

Both of these things suggest a real possibility that these changes occurred some weeks - possibly even months - ago. When did you last see your booking showing that you were confirmed on BA1388? And as BLHD says, what happened when you tried to OLCI?
