GA announcements have been very clear and repeated often at most gates.
At the spacious gate 50, almost every zone gets its own line.
At 49, ugh spacing as we know and described above, but still Z 1 and 2 board separately.

Further to my earlier post....
Boarding the other day at YVR 49 improved. Sure, signs for Z1, Z2, Z3-infinity, but the GA and her announcement were the key differences. She gave very clear instructions not to get into line until your zone is called. I thanked her as we boarded. Nicely done.
