Are you sure with the covid waivers that you can't turn it into a voucher?

Either way if you decide to just walk away from it I'd suggest not checking in.

If your checked in they'll wait till T15 and possibly page your name a few times before offloading you.

If you don't check in at T45 you'll be marked no show and that's the end of it.
