But yes, I don't think that it's controversial that hotel brands with agreements with major corporations provide reports of travel. If the company doesn't operate travel through a dedicated portal (e.g. AMEX) or outsourced provider, using the Marriott provided is a reasonably effective way of keeping track of things.
They may get numbers, dates, properties etc but I highly doubt the corporate travel manager get reports that "European Pete" stayed at some property on this date. I'm saying the travel manager doesn't know if some random person or an employee is using the corporate rate. If it's a very small company they may be able to figure it out but anything over 50 employees, probably not.
