There's little demand for intra-Europe travel as well as for long-haul travel, thus resulting in fewer connecting passengers. BA used to operate between 8 and 13 daily flights between FCO and LHR/LGW, depending on the season. There are currently just two per day, down from three back in December, and there were none for several months when the first and second COVID waves hit.
