All first class tickets, including "pay with miles" and regular award tickets ("paid with miles", say) are eligible for SDC according to the first class rules. There have been occasional reports of agents giving bad information around this, but that's hopefully the exception, and if you are looking at a change that can be done in the app SDC function you should have no trouble.
