For real? I love having the vents on the 787 blowing down on my face on AC tpac flights. It was so perfect compared to the Max.
I also enjoy the ability to get a nice blast of cold air from the 787 nozzles. But apparently many people don't, and are incapable of only opening the nozzles a small amount to get the amount of airflow they actually want.

Apparently Boeing tried to address that by making the nozzles smaller - increase the pressure of the air coming out. Maybe it’s a legacy “small” nozzle issue?
I don't think those issues are at all related. The
passenger air vents give the same airflow as on the rest of the 737 NG fleet, and my understanding is the design change was purely related to passenger comfort.
(This information came from someone very familiar with AC's 737 procurement process)
