Hi, tried searching for an answer, and no luck.

I have a new Amex business platinum card. Trying to meet the spend for the SUB. I'm getting close, but had this question:
If I buy restaurant gift cards from local restaurants, will these count towards the spend?
I looked at two, and one uses Quickgifts for their gift cards and the other uses Giftrocker.
So Amex would probably know these are gift cards, but would they be okay with that, as they are for restaurants, and I do eat out as a business expense?
Or do they automatically not count anything that is clearly a gift card?
