My wife and I have stayed at the TWA 4-5 times in the past couple of years. I think Platbrownguy is spot on except the part about the red carpet, they are nasty and IMHO they need to be replaced with some sort of patterned carpet to hide the wear and tear. The rooms are fine. The convenience is great! I have never stayed during non-Covid times, so I really don't know what it will be like when things open up. There are glorified food carts on the lobby level that get the job done; however, the hours were limited some of the times we were there. I don't think I have ever been there when the bar was open so I can't give feedback on that.
Sometimes I pay for the runway view rooms if I am going to be there when there is daylight; however, during early Covid months there wasn't that much to see except a bunch of parked planes. It's worth going up to the pool level in the a.m. on a nice day. Bring a jacket as it can be windy. The view is kind of cool.
