Had a single night stay this past week. Booked cash+points upgrade to standard suite, but paid a premium to do that.
Suite was nice, but based on pictures I was anticipating ocean view not be on ground level. That was disappointing. Privacy issue is *somewhat* mitigated by reflective material placed over ground floor windows (looking between ground and upper level, it's obvious the top floor does not have this). Works during the day, but curtains need to be closed at night. One more benefit of the ground floor is large patio with gas firepit.
I'm also somewhat baffled by pricing structure of suites. Coastline view suite has bath, lists as more square footage, view seems comparable to ocean suite. But Ocean Suite is priced much higher, and is considered their standard suite. Wonder if this is for award reimbursement purposes.
Had lunch at Pockets (pool bar), and the smoked burger was good. Alcohol was overpriced even for being a resort. I've had much larger and stronger cocktails even in the Maldives for the same price. Service here was slow.
Didnt have time to use pool or spa. Agree with others that it did seem pretty small. Beach at low tide does have some sandy areas you can walk on... after crossing over all the rocks.
Rented an electric bike morning of checkout and took it 12 miles (round trip) along the highway. Lovely benefit, lovely ride.
Breakfast was excellent. No price limit quoted for Globalist which was a nice change from Hilton Diamond and even other Hyatts nowadays. (Though we didnt overindulge anyways)
Room was extremely quiet except for loud upstairs neighbors (seemed like kids).
Not a bad overall stay, but I'm not likely to return. Appeal not quite high enough. Upscale hotel with good food and decent service near a mediocre beach with a mediocre pool. Doesn't check enough boxes to justify the price.
