I have a few questions about how AirFrance and Delta interact.

1. If I buy a ticket with Delta Skymiles for flights listed as AF flights in the system (not showing the DL codeshare numbers and the flights are operated by AF), is there a way I can upgrade my ticket with miles and/or cash to Premium Economy? What about Business?

2. I am trying to book one ticket on miles and one on cash. I see the miles have a flight with a longer layover in CDG which would be nice for a day in Paris. I cannot replicate that itinerary when searching Delta.com to fly on cash. Is there a way around this? Is booking through AF directly possible? If so, can I still earn Delta Skymiles at the same rate? MQMs? MQDs?
