People, this is a perfect example of why personal insults are prohibited on FT. They ignite a fire which quickly consumes everything. Don't do it.

When you see a personal insult, alert the moderators. DO NOT quote the offending post. That creates more work for moderators. Instead, everyone should ignore the offending post until the poster or the mods are able to correct or delete it. That's how you avoid escalation and loss of the discussion.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time parsing who did what here for the benefit of people who enjoying bending or breaking the forum rules. I will lock this thread to give everyone a time out, and I will delete all posts in the conflagration. If this thread spins out of control one more time it will be over. Please play nice when I re-open it.
