One would need to double-check but, IME, cars hired with the major car hire companies at the airport allow for driving both in France and Switzerland. The one complication there is is for cars hired on the French side which will not have the sticker to use on motorways on the Swiss side but the problem does not arise in the other direction. I would check the small print nonetheless, especially if the hire is through one of the discount subsidiaries of the main chains.
