We are intending to fly on the BA0105 to Dubai.

We then have an Etihad connection 17 hours later from Abu Dhabi.

I note on the visit Abu Dhabi website that - https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/plan-you...id-safe-travelEffective 30 December 2021, vaccinated residents and visitors must have a Green Pass on their Al Hosn app to enter Abu Dhabi. The Green Pass is activated on the Al Hosn app for vaccinated residents and visitors who receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test resul and is valid for 14 days. The PCR test must have been performed in the UAE.

Am I correct that this means I will *not* be able to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, as my PCR test will be from the UK, and I don't have 24 hours to wait for another UAE PCR test. Seems like a bit of a struggle.

Travel planned in March, so this might become a moot point.
You will need ayour Al Hosn app to show green to enter Abu Dhabi from Dubai. They reintroduced the border checks last month I think and they are still operating. I see you were given some advice below that you would be OK. You will need to wait for your PCR result and your Al Hosn going green (other prerequisites for this too) before being able to enter Abu Dhabi from Dubai.
