I’ve stayed at 2 different Sheratons, one without a lounge, the other with a closed lounge. In both cases all they offer is a (very poor) continental breakfast and in both cases the FD Mgrs “respectfully disagree” with my interpretation of the Marriott T&Cs which is full breakfast in the restaurant as my welcome amenity. Pretty hard to collect $100 guarantee when mgrs do not acknowledge any wrong doing!
I suspect calling Marriott CS will be pointless as they rarely know/understand the rules and I find FT to be a better source of info than Marriott’s own employees.

So how do I escalate this?
show them the t and c's.. hard to argue with something in writing from Marriott's own website
