But if you check on JL you will see that 6-8 months out you can get 2 biz awards from west coast gateways pretty much every day of the month. And granted maybe you shouldnt bank on entering Japan due to covid, but you can get a connecting flight onward to SE asia where you will likely have more luck getting into the country in 6-8 months. I even found 5 seats on a JL flight the same day for my family.
