In the Boeing line-up only the 777 and 787 are affected, so it’s hardly a question of the A380 being more advanced. It’s the specific avionics package on the 777 and 787 which is the issue.

It’s a pretty ...... situation if you’re an airline operating long-haul with any of those two types ....
