I've read the hundreds of posts on this thread, but apologies in advance if I've missed this. I've just discovered that my wife's account has a substantial amount of TB funds from last year's promo for purchases with certain UA Chase cards. I understand these expire on June 30, 2022, and her online posting of TB status does show this date. I'm looking for ways to extend the expiration, as neither of us may travel before then. I see that for other types of TB deposits, expiration is 18 months or 5 years "unless there is activity in the account." Does "activity" cross over from one type of TB deposit to a different type of deposit? For example, can I purchase $50 of TB credit before June 30s, and would this then reset the clock on my existing credit card promo TB balance?

Or, can I buy any ticket that uses up all the TB funds, ticket it, cancel it, and that converts to an ETC that is good for one additional year?

It seems amazing that for a relatively obscure program like TB, UA IT would go to all the trouble of tracking the different sources of TB deposits, and the different expiration rules.
