My understanding is that ‘rapid’ PCRs as advertised by the likes of Randox and Collinson are accepted because they are RT-PCRs with results delivered rapidly to the customer. I think the rapid thing is a misnomer and came out of early-days confusion between the different test types.
The QR question - not sure - I’ve booked Randox as seems others are doing that and it’s accepted OK but I’d love some clarification too.
