Sorry to rehash an old thread. I experienced a similar thing with our leisure vs on duty rates. When I returned my rental yesterday I was charged significantly more but didn’t notice until I got home as I usually just have the representative email the receipt since it never was an issue before. I called in to see what was up and after a lot of back and forth, they honored the price in my confirmation but indicated the contract may have changed since I booked and to contact my sales team to see if there is a new code I should use.
I noticed after searching on the app the contract leisure rate is just the same as whatever the available current rate is with no discount code. I reached out to our corporate travel team and they said the codes I have are still the current valid code and that the only difference between our on duty and off duty rates is that on duty contains cdw, supplemental liability, and enhanced roadside and the off duty does not but the negotiated base rase rates for daily and weekly would be the same. I was wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar. Obviously I will have to just take what national says going forward, I’m just surprised my company advised something different.
