I felt really hot on that flight despite wearing the same clothes I wore on the Dreamliner flying to YYZ. Can someone confirm that the recline is worse on the 737-8 than the Dreamliner? My seat in Y barely had any recline. The seat wasn't very comfortable. I also felt a bit of motion sickness on the flight and none on the Dreamliner. How weird is that?
Well, yeah, they’re the worst of the worst Y seats in the fleet. For recline:
320/321: 4 inches
7M8: 3 inches
787: 5 inches
777: 6 inches
330: 4/5 inches
FWIW, 7M8 J is only 6 inches (less than PY on the wide bodies).
it’s generally an aircraft best avoided, regardless of class of service.
The vent issue probably reflects how tightly the Y rows are packed (30”, which is an LCC/ULCC spec). Maybe if AC buys the ULCC variant of the Max, that’ll have the right fan spacing for AC’s Y cabin.
