Or is this very common and I'm over worried? Looks like in general Delta suggest people to drop off their luggage 2 hours before international departure, or am I wrong?
Thanks in advance!
I have not travelled internationally for a long time, and this is a first on Delta. Hence my question.
I would not worry. In my experience, when Delta says it should be dropped of 2 hours before, that is the MINIMUM recommended time. Dropping off before that is fine, and since you're connecting, your bags will be attached to your itinerary - they will know where it should go!
