To try and reduce/eliminate this from reoccuring, I recommend sittig in row 1-2 on long haul A320/A319's and Rows 1-4 on B757's. By sitting in a forward row of the Fc cabin you reduce the risk of running out of the chicken and beef entrees.

Sometimes the F/A starts serving from the back. One time, I sat in the middle. That time, two F/A's, one in front of the cart and one in back of the cart were serving. One started from the back, and one started from the front. Both met in the middle. Good, attentive service. But I got screwed out of my desired entree. I had these experiences in B757s.
