Interesting that that picture does not have the plastic barriers between people that are ubiquitous if not mandatory at restaurants now.
This is a poster describing proper eating etiquette. An acrylic barrier has nothing to do with that (and would only obstruct the view if included).
Every restaurant in Kanagawa certified by the government will have this poster posted outside of their establishment. And that's also the last you'll hear of it from them.
