The breakfast at the Reisen -- in terms of quality and service -- is significantly better than the breakfast at the two Story properties. While the Story properties include complimentary breakfast for all guests, I am not sure if it's the same case with Reisen. I've only seen Globalist benefit stays at the Reisen this year.
Having had enough exposure to rooms at the Reisen for Globalist stays, I would say that the Sea View Suites are better in ways than the Nordic Suite and Stockholm Suite. The latter two types seem to be classified as standard suites for purposes of complimentary upgrades/award bookings; meanwhile I was also told that the Sea View Suites are the premium suites. [This doesn't mean the rates of the Sea View Suites are always higher than the Nordic and Stockholm Suites -- sometimes I see the Sea View Suite have a lower price in SEK than the Nordic and Stockholm ones; and I've also seen the Sea View Suite priced higher -- sometimes it even goes back and forth repeatedly within a couple of hours, so their inventory management seems interesting.] With the Sea View Suites, at least you will have more of a view than of just the nearby buildings -- that limited view is an issue with various Nordic and Stockholm suites at the property, but the rooms are nice in all three types of "suites".
The Reisen is an exception among Stockholm hotels with having so many of its premium rooms also having a private sauna. It also has a cold pool, if wanting to get a 15C/59F plunge in. The two Story hotels don't have a pool/spa.
Thanks for that insight, very interesting. I just booked 2 nights in May and the potential for a Globalist upgrade into a room with a sauna really sold it to me! Was wondering if the Rittergartan's location is better for a first time, though I think Reisen is close enough to everything/old town that that uniqueness of the private sauna stands out.
