Can confirm that the hours in the Amex app for the JFK VS lounge are wrong — am in JFK right now and was just admitted to the clubhouse with my Platinum. The receptionist at the desk confirmed they’re accepting the platinum for entry all day (when they’re open), not just in the mornings, and there’s also a big sign outside the lounge saying they welcome Amex cardholders.

Service is even better than the centurion, and the food blows what they’re currently serving in the centurion out of the water as well - menu is here and everything is table service: https://order.premiumvirginlounge.co...in-lounge/main. Cocktails in the centurion are better though.
