This is becoming a feeble excuse... I saw this displayed at a hotel front desk recently, almost as a pre-emptive excuse to pardon their deficiencies (and there were many during my stay).
Soon you might start hearing this on the automated voice recordings in every phonecall you make to companies.
The solution is for BA to improve its IT so customers don't have to rely on calling your staff, and can do almost everything they're supposed to online.
