Completely agreed. We stopped by the IHG just for a quick drink and although we didn't stay at the property it is really showing its age vs the brand spanking newly refurbished Hilton.
We just stayed a week at the Hilton and visited the IC one day for meals. The view from the Hilton is a bit industrial, but is pretty nice otherwise. They’re still working out opening kinks like not offering room service. The IC is dripping with Polynesianness, reminded me a bit of the Polynesian at WDW

The Hilton has easy access to the attached Supermarket and is easily walkable to Papeete. The food at both hotels was pretty good.
