I saw the screenshot method in the wiki... but how do i know the amount of miles that will be required for that award? Is it based on the final destination?
Yep, the award will be based as Nth America to India, doesn’t matter which way you go.

So you screenshot the ‘no result’ for a straight out search SFO-BOM, then add screenshots for the SFO-NRT and the NRT-BOM. LM can deny routings but I haven’t experienced that myself. Something like ORD-FRA-ICN-BKK is permissible, so SFO-NRT-BOM should be fine
