There’s a boardwalk loop around the property that heads towards the casita area and through the mangroves.

For longer walks the hotel is adjacent to the Courtney Campbell Causeway path which runs parallel to the causeway. Follow the signs to walking/biking trail to access this. Theoretically you could walk all the way over to Pinellas County, but that is about 8 miles one way. Even though the trail is parallel to a busy road it has good views of the water and bay, especially the further you go. If you make it to get actual bridge portion of the causeway, you can walk up the hump and it has a great view of the bay. I’m a local and walk this trail frequently, albeit from the Clearwater side. If you have a car I would recommend driving over to the Clearwater side one day, it’s a shorter walk to get the tallest point on the bridge. The Tampa side is nice, but from the Grand Hyatt it takes a bit of walking before you get out of a more developed area
