Don't think this has been mentioned here before but it seems that the new build A320s BA is currently receiving have in seat power in Club Europe and, better still, you dont need a stupidly expensive adaptor to use it:

By end 2002 we hope to have 10 new A320 aircraft in service (7 currently) with the Next Generation PC power system. This system features a US/Euro style 2/3 pin socket delivering 110V AC fitted to all Club Europe seats. This system allows the customer to plug straight in without the need for special adaptors. This system can also deliver a maximum of 75 Watts power.

This is great!
