Also, has anyone recently been to Amanjiwo? If you are American did current events make the stay uncomfortable? A lot of people are telling me that if we stay out of the tourist crowds we'll be fine.

As always, help is appreciated.

Thanks!
You should go to amanjiwo! Was just there this past June and everthing was fine. I'm thinking your more concerned about a security issue then if its a great resort to stay at. The people in Central Java will be more then glad your there. Get on a bike or ride the elephant back to the hotel and you will only be tired of saying hello to everyone who waves. Sean the GM will take great care of you!

Also consider Losari Coffee Plantation and Spa for a visit as this resort has a very wonderful aura about it. The Owner and staff will take good care of you!
