I sense some bitterness. Though I would presume you are in no way, shape, or form a first responder and are only riding the coattails of your wife.
What are you talking about? There's no evidence AA cares whether the OP and his wife are—or consider themselves to be—first responders, nor would that qualify them for special treatment if they were.
