I seem to recall, but could very well be wrong, the following with AA.
2 crew for up to 8 hours
3 crew for 8-12 hours
4 crew for 12+ hours
Its more complicated in EASA-world. It depends on acclimatisation to time zones, time of report, and what facilities the aircraft has. If the aircraft in question had no crew bunks then the allowable flight time is not really long enough for these flights with a long diversion thrown in.
