Sorry to hear that. Go in expecting nothing and be nice. It’s entirely in the hotel’s hands whether they want to offer you something to recognize your status. Maybe you will be pleasantly surprised. (You also won’t earn points or night credits.

The reasoning behind no benefits when booked through a 3rd party is the 3rd party takes a 10-20% commission. However, I don’t understand how Fine Hotels & Resorts gets around this as guests do get their benefits and points.
